Another 6/53

I now know there is a lot of little differences with these engines, however, they are a tight fit into this vehicle.
The method with this job is, learn as you go.
Just an old truck, keeping the passion alive for it at times is trying.

Another day of cleaning, lots of crud scraped out, then pressure washed, been a long time since she had a bath in the engine bay area

Tomorrow is the day for swapping bits & pieces between the engines, compressor on the old one is not as high, that may be a problem, tacho drive & a few other minor alterations that will take time.

Tomorrow is another day.

That looks so much different to the smaller ones I am familiar with.

I know it's pushing it, but would love to see it up here.....

One thing that Swishy will appreciate, the Engine Mounts that arrived yesterday, are a genuine Cummins part that suit this application.
Perhaps Swish will come with a cartoon for this one, A Detroit being held down by Crummins!!!
I will take a picky of the mount box tomorrow..

me thinx they shoulda bin left on the anchor

(they may B a bit too light az Crummins aint got much get up n go
