Hi Fill,
You may want to double check the top of your master cylinder... I think it is on backwards.
If so you won't be able to get to the filler through the hole in the floor. If it's like the one on my A series.
Nice resto.

Hi all
I know it is only a little thing, but the brake people did put the cover on back to front -it could be easily done. After spending well over a thousand dollars on the brakes I would think that they would replace the old gasket especially if it was broken. Question do I put gasket goo on it?
Thanks in advance
Cheers fill

I wouldn't.
Not sure if it could degrade the fluid or cause a problem later on.
I would be having a bit of a whinge about the old gasket.

I would use gasket goo I use it on most things or grease at the very least something to allow the gasket to slide into any imperfections

I replaced the brake lines and did all the bends and double flares my self- all ok
I had nothing but trouble with the rest. All bleeder nipples leaking around the thread, driver side brake cylinder front and back leaking, and master cylinder leaking where brass meets cast iron. There is copper a washer in between, I got another one made up and softened (still leaking) With all of that I gave it a rest for a while.
