Hardly cold.....just pulsed mig with small dia wire..........if you want special welding ,have a look at your ally radiator .......electron beam welded in a vacuum......in 1970 ,such a radiator cost Dick Johnson $10,000......now you can buy one for $150

Seeing that bloke weld the edge of a couple of blades reminded me of a time I spent in the Engine Maintenance section of Qantas in Sydney. A welder there was Tig welding the edge of jet engine turbines that had been damaged. He assured us that he too could weld the edge of a razor blade without destroying it.

Should have mentioned that I was only there as a visitor. We were shown through every section of the facility. A fantastic day!

Back in the70s ,I saw demonstrations of welding aluminium foil with tig.
