Bugs Can you let me have the chassis number for your F1 please

Hi Baz - "F1 3308" is the number. I have sent you an email with the other Darwin Dennis numbers as well.

To the other forum members ... gidday!! Haven't done much to Dennis lately, but then it was never going to happen overnight! I have received a bag from the US with my 1-3/4 inch brass core plug, I have used a die grinder to reduce the broken plug in the water gallery down to the threads, and I'm waiting for a tap to arrive to chase the thread to clean it up ready for the new plug.

yep, that would be the builder plate.

I could send you a photo of another one, but it will have the wrong numbers on it. :P Thank God for Photoshop !! 8-)

Would appreciate that thanks Beaver. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] I can change the numbers to suit, but it will show me what the layout is. Does the F1 (or Ace) engine have an engine number stamped anywhere on the block? :-? Haven't found one yet.

You should find the number on the n/s of the block - look behind the magneto, just below the valve cover. There is a protruding flat "landing" about 3" long. You probably painted over it!!

I can just make it out in 20110828NewmagnetoHTleads.jpg

I got a couple of photos today for ya, but the truck is inside, and it doesn't come out too good with the flash. I'll try again when I can get it outside.
