Hi Guys,

The silver J3 Bedford that I've been working on for ages had to come out of my shed tonight.. I have a few large gates to fabricate for a customer and I need the shed back..

The Silver J3 is, of course, watertight.. all of the weather seals and glass are in and the spanking new tray is painted..

My original plan was to gingerly push it out of the shed (which leads out onto a sloping concrete surface) and then jump in and steer it out onto the lawn.. I tried and it seemed dangerous. :) So I sat in my outside easy chair with a few beers and summoned up the courage to engage the transmission while the engine was running..

The beers helped. I sat in the cab, started the engine and with my foot planted very, very firmly on the brake, and with the handbrake engaged I slipped the truck into reverse

just next to the beer fridge will do just fine
the tray can b used as a dining table

Swishy, I am thinking there are a lot of blokes writing this advice down and heading out to the love of their life this week end with Jack and grease gun. Thanks. :)
