Howdy,

Would anyone have or have a lead to a Rockwell / Timken FE-900 front axle.
Anything would be appreciated.
Above axle has tapered kingpins and five spoke Dayton hubs.
I have cactus stub axles.

Thankyou
Basil

...The original FE 900 5 ton front axle was a rare and unusual thing in Australia, as a rule seen only between 1963 and 1966..... its presence came about over here while on the cusp of bigger and greater things planned by the big American manufacturers....almost like trying to ask a teenage boy to do some serious man's stuff...

....they were too big an axle for our Inters, Dodges and bigger Fords, but looked ridiculous under an early Peterbilt or Kenworth cabover, with their narrow track and great big overhanging cab.

...even though there were plenty of these axles supplied new underneath a lot of old Kenny's and Pete's, they eventually usually gave way to the bigger 6 ton front axle in an attempt to keep pace with the greater loads allowed to be carried over the years... i s'pose a lot ended up in the scrap bin...they are now indeed a rare axle....

Hi Fellas.

As you have described Detecta they are thin on the ground here. Plentiful in the US however the right stubs on the US versions don't have provision for a steering arm.
It must have been an export part only.
I have another axle now from a little later KW so I'm out of trouble I reckon.
Thank you both for thinking about it.
