Im the latest custodian of a 1949 Dennis F1 firetruck going through a restoration. The previous owner has got it off to an awesome start with a hell of a lot of work getting the engine, gearbox and electrics running. Now to get the body started.

I am trying to track down a couple of pieces.
  1. Windscreen and surround
    RH bonnet cowling

The priority is the glass as this was lost when sent away for some repairs. #Aussiehooker was the last one in posession and I would be enormously grateful if I could get in touch with him. All I know is he was a Tow Truck driver in Albury.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

If anyone knows of someone with an old Dennis F1 lying around, please get in touch.

Appreciate any assistance on offer.

G'day and welcome. I wonder is this Lou / Bugly's old one?

Yes Jarrod. My brother and I have bought the 2 of them and arevwell entrenched to get them on the road. We are both Firefighters in Darwin so we have a vested interest.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Gudday Keith, when you have time to spare some pics would be appreciated. You could try to get Don Lascelles (aussie hooker) on channel 40 here. I don't think he has been on for several years, he just dropped out of sight. If ya find him I have got some spring shackles for him.

I have a Dennis F1, ex Queensland so has open cab. Is missing bonnet, guards and grille. Firebody for pattern only. Pump is missing some parts.
I know of one near Toowoomba which was converted to a truck and was for sale a few years back.

Hi Mammoth, Do you have any photos and do you have any other details on possible parts? Still chasing glass and haven't managed to get hold of AussieHooker yet, although I did see he was on another forum only a couple weeks ago.

Regards

Mine still has the screen, but no doors. Which parts do you need pics of?

Glass can be the easy bit. Cut out a template in cardboard and visit the local glazier. They can help you out with the correct glass for the job.
