The truck's 33 years old, how old is the crane and how much time remaining on the certificate of safety? Onc truck mounted cranes get to about ten years,  it's more economical to replace than undergo all the weld x-rays, required by law.

Come on V8 it is going on club rego and the crane is only for decoration. Might have to extend it occasionally to keep the oil flowing.

And he might have to demonstrate it at the start and end of a truck show.
