Hi Guys found this on fleabay this morning, cant be often you get a crate engine of this age?

Hey would anyone know if this suits a Thornycroft Nubian fire tender 6x6 that had astraight 8 petrol rolls engine in it

Both the B80 and later 6.52 litre B81 were specified. Someone more knowlegible might know if it was only the block that differed between them or whether there were other diifferences.

B81 - 6516cc, bore 3.75"

do you know of any other differences ie with this ebay item could I rebuild the engine using this block and part sand add all other bolts on etc carby ?? thankyou

Have another good look at the pic's as i think it is only the bare block & pistons.
NO crank/sump/head etc,etc

I have 6x6 nubian hence the interest so not enough to take a shot at it
