gm,what have you got that 903 fitted into????
that manifold was never a std truck fit here.....i think from memory it was an early freightliner in the states.
should have a part number cast into it......send me that and i'll check with my LA buddy.....there wld still be some kicking around over there in yards (unloved).
cheers,
newts

Ni Newts and other forumers,
These manifolds are fitted to the 903 in my early 70's Inter Transtar.
Both right and left are the same.
Found a part number on them - 196307
They dont come up in the Cummins parts book and they dont show up in the Transtar parts book either in the 903 section.
The one I broke was good to with no cracks. The other one has a crack so if I can find a pair it would be brilliant.
Whats complicated it all is the exhausts have been all made and chromed to suit these manifolds.
The rear exit or rear down outlets wont work with the Transtar stepped chassis so if I cant find one or a pair ive resigned myself to having to fabricate it from scratch which wouldnt be that hard.
The amount of other 903 problems Ive got at the moment Im just about ready to toss the lot. :'( I wont though as its just making me more determined.
Block number 4 finally looks like it can be salvaged with some counterbore sleeves. Just more $$$ to be spent.
Thanks alot for the replies. I appreciate any help to get this damn thing going.

Baz - If you have all the pieces, I have some Magna, electric cast-iron welding rods, that will weld it all up, no problem.

I remember MelonReo asking about a 190 that had a 903 in it, and Werkhorse found it in downtown Tasmania and posted up some pics. It had similar manifolds from memory, though I think the exit was at the centre of the manifold.

Yes Cam I reckon your memory is working okay.
Ive been having a search in the forum to try and find those pictures. Havent found em yet.
Thanks for the offer Ron re the cast welding rods. The way it broke I dont know would be weldable but then again there is nothing to lose.
Im still real lousy with myself for breaking the damn thing in the first place.
Ron, who's the better mobs around the place these days for block machining ?

Just did a search on truckhub and they have 3 x 903 cummins in trucks that they are wrecking.

Basil,
I used Google..... It's easier to search for threads than using the forums' own search feature.

Good thinking 99,
They are the same as my manifolds....
I will exhaust all other avenues first before I go after them.
Hopefully someone will restore that truck and its going to make it hard for them without the manifolds.
Midlands dont have any. Just waiting for Alldiesels to come back to me.
