Think it was Tony or Joe Bonica (Brisbane) had at least one on trial/testing about that time frame you mentioned, bonnetted version.
Don't know whatever became of it. Had a mate who used to drive for Bonica's who when pressed about it, could only reply," comfortable to drive!"

Don't think it impressed him.

Doug, pretty sure that Berliet trucks are mentioned in the Leader Book, as another one of the many things that the Andersons (WESTCO) were involved with..

don't matter." -

The DMR/RTA had one in Sydney in the early 70s. It was bonnetted, LHD, and had equipment on board for surveying road surfaces.

There was also one Berliet PR100 bus here in the early 1980s, but all further sales of this model were under Renault (or Mack) branding.

There was a cab-over one working around Warwick for many years. Years ago there was a rumour that all of the huge stock of parts from Brisbane and some trucks were sold to someone in the Stanthorpe-Wallangarra area who previously had one. Dont know any more details. - Kav

A lot of the Mack branded ones went to Canberra I think,as I remember one of our local buslines ended up with a couple of Mack buses which looked very similar to the Surfside one.
