All U need to do is stik one of them donks in a twin steer primeover n let m tow afew sets of B Dubles wot evr Between the capital citys n B a lot safer than try n the Euro idea of platoon n trucks

Impressive figures quoted there! Would think that even cutting max RPM to around the 2000 mark, still be heaps of grunt.

As for the 6-110, there were a few tested by PIE in the US, and as can be seen from the scan below (via John Frances) they had taller bonnets to accommodate the larger engines. There's also a rumor of one exported to Israel but I have not been able to substantiate it. The problem with the 6-110 was that it had a mechanically-driven centrifugal supercharger rather than a turb0. The supercharger was shaft-driven and apparently if you accelerated suddenly they could snap; no big deal on a generator or a boat but under road conditions, well... Later they fitted a turbo on them and the problem was solved, but by then there were the 8V-71 and 12V-71 which were more compact and covered the power range, so they eventually stopped making the 110.
