Rattail
You fuel mileage / KM distance will vary a lot depending on if you are pulling a trailer / load and what you driving habits are???

Truckie across the road from us seems to get fantastic mileage from his Kenworth with a Cat in it. On the real rare times that they put him in another truck, usually a new truck to see if it is suitable for him other drivers take his for a short run and cannot get the same milage. I guess it all comes down to your driving habbits and keeping the tacho in the green and not the red.

Hi I’ve registered it on club plates, I drove for 30 odd years and now retired, yeah so I bought a little T-Line to play with, I won’t ever have a trailer on or load , I m just wondering fuel wise when I go on a run, , or more so if I have enough money to buy fuel for a a run, don’t have a fuel card anymore ,where it be 10 to 15mpg , I won’t hold anyone to it , it gives me a estimate to start with

Thanks, I’ve spent over 2 grand on the inside , including 2 suspension seats which were cheaper than having the old ones redone , and all new VDO gauges and one Murphy gauge for the oil pressure gauge , the paint is really flat on the outside, which will be the next project, a little way off , but I’m happy now that the inside is done I can head off in comfort.... I hope lol

Make an estimate of 10 mpg or about 28 liters per 100 km.
( About 3.5 liters per km. ) Might do a bit better.
Good luck with the project. Paul.

Last figure should be 3.5 km per liter.
Sorry, my bad. Paul

I would get 3.5 to 4km per litre out of my AR162 with a 281. The 240 was slightly better on fuel but not as quick uphill.
A friend with an ACCO A Prime Mover averages 2km/litre as do several others in similar sized trucks of different makes. I suggest you start around that figure and adjust as you get experience with your truck. It's better to arrive home $50 under budget than run out of fuel enroute
