G'day all! - Just stumbled over a website with a heap of really good pics (from Ron Dingwall), of trucking as she was done, in the "good ole days" .. :D

Some of these outback trucking pics are really great, and show what some of the poor old workhorses like the old Inters were put through.
Virtually every second pic is of an illegal and dangerous setup .. no brakes .. few lights .. overwidth without permits .. multiple trailers with loadings way beyond what any engineer ever planned. It amazes me that Ron and his mates survived.

I'd guess lots of flat country helped. It appears that a few of the rare, hilly areas, tried them out occasionally .. :D

Some great photos there
The MHP NR i remember sitting in the grass
at their depot in Auburn St next to the railway line for a while. The J model cab must have been the go when Re building the NR's as Clearys did that to one years ago
powered with a in line 671. Used it on a float then retired to a water cart. I am sure the NR of Paytens got the same cab also, many moons ago.......Mark
