Howdy all

I stumbled across this remarkable vehicle today.

A TATER 2000 campervan conversion of an old Thornycroft Nubian 6x6 Airport Fire Tender :o From a distance it appears to be in very good condition.

The original Nubians had a straight 8 cylinder motor if I'm not mistaken. If this motor is still in the vehicle then it must surely be the thirstiest and most uneconomically viable campervan this side of the equator :-/

The writing on the side says...'From the Airtight Garage, Brompton S.A.

Can anyone shed some light on the truck/campervan coversion.

Well that's bloody different. Great find, Tommy.

Haven't been able to find anything on the Airtight Garage but hopefully someone else will know of them.
