Thanks for that, Swishy, it's good to know that I'm slightly better than a 44 gallon drum. :D :D :D

I must say that the 44 gallon drum did take a pretty good video, all the same. I'm not too sure about the human actor in the film, though!

Wouldn't that depend on the winch.

Trust me

as long as the winch is strong enough u will lift whatever you put on the tray. but then the question how much can the steel hold but that is limited by axle grouping and in the video swishmans set-up bogie/tri(rows of four) could run up to 27ton correct me if thats wrong swishy
cheers ;D ;D

@ 4:14
Gudday M8
Thanx for the comment
we often get asked out to cart for other transport companies, even when they have trucks available, mostly rear ramps, th@ aint suitable for the load
Rear ramps R suitable for most loads n not every load
the folda has a low angle approach, ideal for dead rolling machinery or low ground clearance stuff (eg: bus, pavers, etc)

Well Hung Vic
Gudday M8
By U shootn the other FGNLL movie gave me sum inspiration (or twaz th@ persperation) to do dis one, n U aint quite az round az a 44
LOL

when the neck iz raised, the deck with the load stays on the ground, the front of neck tuches the ramp n then the winch cable slides the truck under the neck @ the same time the deck iz raising to the correct height, so no direct lifting weight iz put on the cable other than the weight of neck, we also run a dolly
tandem tri = 29ton payload
tri tri = 34ton payload
tandem quad = 38ton payload
tri quad = 42ton payload
then we go to the drake with same dolly or bigger upto 65ton payload
BK

the winch is a 30,000lb Garwood
the safty pin is the winch rope
the mechanical drive winch can break the 7/8" rope @ idle revs
the KW 1/2 truck has a Tulsa 25,000lb winch n have had the front wheels with daylight under m when lifting trailer

RE: 27 ton
we have a heavy mild steel trailer th@ we B legal with 27ton tiz 2 ton heavier than the HT trailer
we dont really lift the load but merely slide under the neck with the weight on the ramps till it hits the 5th wheel

Thanx for your comments guys
I have the exact same footage taken from the security camera, but I have not seen it as yet
(just up higher lookn down over the vehicle)

The folder would be ideal for pavers Swishy, I've had more than a couple of "pinch the seat" moments with those slippery things, on ramps. :o

Good to see the whole operation Swishy . That 44 does not work the zoom lens as well as vic though ;). That driver was pretty quick on his feet , are you sure the speed was not increased a bit . The way that one track talks , i was expecting to see a walking stick :D ;D.
