Rivnut kits are readily available (with the correct installation tool) from tool shops and eBay.

Very handy to have around.

I use Alminox instead of never seize because that is what I have in my shed. Alminox is an electrical jointing compound that is essentially Zinc particles suspended in a petroleum base and is designed to provide improved electrical conductivity, minimise corrosion where dissimilar metals are in contact with each other and it doubles as never seize for me.
As Zuffen and BD59 say, you can get rivnuts or nut inserts from various places and when the proper installation tool is used, it is claimed that they are watertight. Some rivnut tools double as a pop rivet gun as well.

White heatsink paste is not the same as Alminox. White heatsink paste has excellent thermal transfer properties and is also excellent at sticking to your fingers. The early white heatsink pastes were carciogenic and we had to use gloves when using it.
Alminox is a dark grey colour and is fantastic for preventing the white scale buildup you find where dissimilar metals are bolted together. We used it a lot for Marine electronics and for bolting HF antenna bases to aluminium or SS brackets, it is good stuff.

Cheers

I have finally had the Tonneau cover made which took longer than expected because they had to order in the Tonneau cover material that I wanted to use. I don't like the modern material because it is too shiny and the material I have chosen has a patterned matt finish with a woven cotton type lining on the bottom.
