AL110 restoration, the early stages

Hi Jarrod,
I do not have any of the parts, un fortunately
I have been to 3 brake specialists in my area, the last one has suggested i remove all the old fittings and hash up or cut in what i need, with more modern fittings/ threads

what i am really missing in the puzzle is where does the master cylinder feed/ supply 'T' into the front rear lines?

At this stage i can order two 3 way fittings to graft in a solution, but just seeing if anyone has some old 5/16 UNF 2 or 3 way unions i can use,
this will save having to replace most of what i have as the new pipe is a smaller diameter
Cheers
Jim

Here's a few pictures of the left front block / union and banjo bolt and the tee from the master cylinder (which your ute doesn't have, as it goes into the middle of the missing early - type banjo bolt. The rusty piece is the remains of this from LHF back to the tee.

Jarrod.

Picture from the book, showing early and late styles. It appears the early style carried into early AS130 production.

There seem to be many different banjo fittings available and tee pieces, etc for 3/16 brake lines.
One wonders whether your lines are really any good, though? I had to replace all of mine if not due to twisting the ends off, then due to pinholes which showed up when I pushed as hard as I could on the brake pedal.
They're not that hard to make, and you could have the brake shop do the flares after you've bent them to shape, if you don't feel confident with that part / don't have the tool.

Thanks heaps Jarrod,
Yes i will have to make a new line to a new 'T' from the master to the front /rear distribution
also another 'T' for the left/ right lines
Your pictures are first class and have filled in all the gaps
Thanks again

No worries. If you look a bit, you can find both single and double banjo bolts. Banjos for your existing ends I didn't see, but may be out there.

Cheers, Jarrod.

A few pages back you asked about what bumper will fit and I have been told that a Holden 1 tonner front bumper fits pretty nicely if you flatten the curve a little bit and re your seat; an early Holden or Falcon bench seat will probably do the job.

Seeing the new steel sections that you are fitting reminded me of my AR-110 as it had the same rusted out sections. I found it straightforward to replace the steel sections but making the rear roll pan and tailgate put up a few challenges.

You are doing a great job and keep posting up your progress.

Thanks guys for your help and valued advice. Even if I do not get a chance to respond to all I certainly take note of all the suggestions.
I will follow up with some bar and seat options thanks GB
I hope to pick up the brake parts I ordered which come from Sydney I'm told
The parts will get me most way to copy the brake set up on Jarrods pictures which will do what I need
I am busting to get this done as it has plagued me long enough
All because of a 4 way banjo every expert told me never existed from new!
On a high note the new radiator hose from the chamberlain tractor looks like a winner too
Cheers

I picked up all the brake parts today as well as a inline fuel filter
I did clean the gas tank out with a 5-1 parts mix of phosphoric acid and water
All the surface rust was converted back to a black residue
I have started on the tailgate repairs rust and more rust there!
So had to remove the skin and now de rusting that with brusha bale converted
Graham I am really keen to hear more of your tailgate work if you have a link or time to share
I am tossing up making a new skin but not sure how to
