It's a 1938 D Model coupe. One of a few built in NZ for sales reps. Might be the last one left. It is currently in a Christchurch car museum (Yaldhurst) and not for sale.

Yep, Loadstars's won the e-pie award, but he'll have to share it with Steve. He must be an ex-pat Kiwi .. :)

The Yaldhurst Museum on the Lower Eastern Island ..

1938 International D-2 Coupe.

Five D-2 model Internationals were coupe-bodied by Steel Brothers in Christchurch, New Zealand.
They were commissioned by the New Zealand International agents and used by sales representatives.
Apart from the body, the vehicles remained as standard.

I understand this is the only remaining intact example.

My sister and brother-in-law saw this car in the flesh and reckon it would restore really well. I could see it in black with the chrome re-done, a real gangsters car.

Ron, there is another Inter "car" ( a C or D model, I will have to find a photo) fully restored in the Richardson museum.
