Frustrating timelines.

Hello Moderators, etc.,

My main dislike about this forum is that when I open a topic because it shows a recent post was made, I find the latest post was ages ago.

For example, I just opened one called "Trucking about the district", because the latest post was said to have been today at 22.17.25, only to find the the last post to it was eighteen months ago, and I have read it dozens of times since then.

Why is it so?

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Morris,
Just had a look at ''trucking in the district'' and if you click page 16 it opens up the current page instead of just clicking on "trucking in the district" where it will open up at page 1

Time to get up andd get going.......todays bad decisions aren't going to make themselves!!!

Morris,

I'm not sure where you are driving at.

The first post of a topic will always be at the top of page 1 the second post will always appear under post 1 and so on. The newest post will always appear on the last page.

So it is from oldest to newest post.

As mairjimmy indicated when you click on the topic heading you will go to the start of the topic. Clicking on the highest page number will get you to the current page.
