Nissan Civillian Splitter box was created by jon_d
From another motorhome forum.....
Would any one know where there is a working Nissan Civillian splitter gearbox. The splitter is seperate to the actual gearbox. There a bloke stuck somewhere in the Gold Coast area and needs one. (the splitter)
Everyone's tried the more well known wreckers and the like; It's starting to look like a it might be a friend of a friend situation.
1985 model with ED33 engine/gearbox. The model number is MGW40WSFHMAO
Thanks Jon

Hi Lang,
I haven't seen it. But based on the discussions on the forum, it looks correct.
The splitter bolts onto the back .

I used to repair thse little Jap gearboxes.........the wreckers all wanted $2500 exchange for them...........and parts were super expensive..............I would say he d be better off eliminating the split action ,by locking it in whatever gear is still servicable.,while he looks for a donor vehicle.

Thanks John. yes, sometimes an almost complete wreck is cheaper than the part from a wrecker,
They may have found one today - trying to negotiate a price.
