Tank straps

I had to pull the step tanks off the Inter D line to make it easier to get the gearbox out and noticed that threaded ends of the straps securing the tanks had been broken and welded more than once, so I’m in the market to get some new ones made up, but Mr Google is only giving me options from eBay. Anyone know where I can get some made? Somewhere in Sydney would be good.

I just measure how long the straps are and most truck spare parts places have access to all different length straps

Why can't the old threads be cut off back to the strap and new threads welded back on?

Could do Cobba, however they are looking pretty mangled so I’m thinking new might be better.

IH Scout a fab shop cut them of and replace no big effort at all

Agree, make your own.

All-thread or mild steel bolts welded to strap/flat from the steel shop. Painted and with tank strap rubber clipped on.

Usually semi tipper manufacturers have these, or can get what you want, as they often do hydraulic oil tank fit ups. That is where we got a new pair once.
