GMC Coach restoration was created by Murray
An aquaintance of mine rang today to tell me about his 1956/57 GMC coach restoration, he is going along okay with it but needs a couple of rear brake drums, the old ones are worn right out even to the stage of putting brass shim under the rivetted linings to bring them out further. Any clues where he could find some?

Would need to know what the rear axle is. Hopefully something common.

Murray, are they 10 stud bud wheels on it? There is a mob in Sydney will make odd brake drums. I was chasing a couple of front drums for an early Kenworth and the blokes at Rocklea Truck Spares told me they got them off this mob, which was why they where so expensive, about $330 each. You could get your mate to try Rocklea Truck Spares, Boniface st Coopers Plains, Q, they may have some or piont him in the right direction.
