gday folks
my daily drive is a ford d series with a 360 turbo 2 motor.
i am looking for a 3" exhaust brake for it.
most of my driving is done in vertical country and I've had a gutfull of going down hills in low second to save the brakes.
the exhaust pipe is 3 inches and ive tried all the likely wreckers in the sydney area but nobody has one.any 3 incher will do,butterfly or guillotine.
the truck would have originally had an exhaust brake as the instructions are in the cab.

thanks. sparks

SGV exhaust brakes were popular once, I think they are still in business..

Sparks, if the D series had an exhaust brake on it, it would have been aftermarket, most likely a Smiths SGV, which I'm pretty sure are still available. You could also check out the jap trucks at the wreckers and rat one off them, though the exhaust brake is usually knackered by the time a truck gets to the wreckers.
