Nice work, Mairjimmy. Do you happen to know the owner or any more info about the Chietain? Very tidy unit.

For those needing a GM fix go to Colin's post in tractors.
The Jelbart is also 2 stroke, made in Ballarat. Thanks Colin. David.

Andy,
The only information l know is that it was purchased new in 1964 by a fuel agent in Leongatha Vic.[maybe Shell or Golden Fleece by the yellow paint showing through in a few places] lt must be around Coleambally some where now. Sent you a PM.
Colin

Ripper, thanks, Colin. She's a beaut.

The Western Australian in me had no idea where Coleambally is. Just checked and just over two hours from me. Bugger!

Andy,
This is us leaving on Friday and we are 1 1/2 hours away and in this truck l lost count of the bone jarring bumps on the road that are not felt in the KWs that l drive now, there is a good photo of us coming home on quarterdeck 888 photo site

Hey Andy, as a Leongatha local I'm almost certain that chieftan was owned by Phil Riseley he was a Golden Fleece agent and I have a vague recollection of going for a ride in it with my father. Pretty sure it had a few of those demountable tanks that were the fashion at the time. I'll check with dad and see if I can dig up a photo. Debo

Great set-up. Colin! Just checked where Berrigan is. Damn, you're well placed for a lot of shows! :)

Thanks, Debo, I know the tanks and 'look' you're talking about. Very cool.
