I do not think these went that far but they wouldn't of hesitated to head off to Melbourne or Sydney from Berrigan Just think if like today 43 degrees , a water bag hanging on the side and then winter time, mud, no heater , only thing that keep them going was they didn't know any better and mate ship on the road ::) ::) ::) ::)

I love the homemade mudguards on the old Ford. I'm also a big fan of the swan on the bonnet(called a bugler) I run them on my trucks.

Another old Ford from the disposal in Darwin, as was said, many started with not much more than perseverance and luck.

Even the old Blitz's did their bit to help get guys going, my brother drove some of these down from the Darwin auctions, pick the best one and haul 3 more, no problem for parts!! ;D
