Kenworth K145 was created by To a T
Gidday, I have finally joined the huck bolt crowd. Ever since my father had a K141 for a very short stint in 1980 I knew that one day I would have an 8 wheeler of my own.
Any info on it's history would be gratefully appreciated. I know this is the place.
Here goes, build is 7/73, chassis number is 400639, 555 Cummins, 15speed, torsion bar.
Was a fuel tanker with all guards and insulted electrics. Paint on tag is white cab and what looks like saying Esso cream?
Have plans to 8v71 it as always wanted a screamer. The only thing missing is a Prestons bullbar which I will source as time goes on. I need to get the Diamond going for Hauling the Hume next year so this will sit on the back burner until then. All in good time, Having issues with getting piccy from bucket thingy to here. When worked out I will post a photo
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks David

That old buggy screams to me HEIDELBERG CITY COUNCIL
They never made many with the 555 in them, the only few I recall were HCC and Canberra Bushfire Brigade.
Jimbo 51 should have all the good stuff on these.

Forgot to add ..... from memory (fading) the Esso ones had 903 in them and ran a spread bogie, mainly used as aircraft fuel tankers.
