Kenworth VIN Search was created by Pup
Hey HCVC Brains Trust,

Ive been searching the forum for a while but have come up short. I am looking at buying an old Kenworth to play with / restore. I havnt made up my mind as to which model I would buy yet as the history of a particaular one may sway me. (If it has one). Is there a way I can search the VIN number to get the original info on what the truck came with and who it was purchased by?

Any help would be appreciated.

Jarrod (aka PUP)

Hi PUP.... Yeah we can accommodate that request really easily ... Almost instantly up to about chassis number 403000 .... Above that we have blokes who can find info given a little longer ;)

Bung up a number and let's see what we end up with... Keeping in mind that a lot were built for dealer stock so may not have info

Thanks Werkhorse. The 3 Im considering at the moment are.

'86 K125E - 408213
'81 SAR - 405257
'92 K100E - 412087

Im sure I found a list on here of the first few hundred KW's built and sold in Aus with details of where they went.

They will take a little while.... That list was for the first 134 Seattle built imports back in the early 60s

Ahh, thanks for that. Can you link me to that list as well. Would like to have another look at it.

There is no rush on the info.

I suppose... this is nitpicking about the about the S/N list............

but, i was at Liquid Cartage when they got the first few cab over KWs............
The list says 6v71 GMs..............actually they were in line 6/71 GMs.......
K122...in line 671............5 speed box...........2 speed arse on Page & Page..60 / 40 suspension.....
with BPW pusher axle...........
I assume ?????? the whole batch was the same..................
