630a to c1600

Sorry to pester people. I am just clueless at this stage as new to trucks. Have always liked and owned old cars and tractors but trucks take the cake.

So I bought a 630a. Perkins 6.354. SMA435 box.

What other parts off the Acco would fit the C1600? Front axle? Do all trucks have the same stud pattern?

What sort of wheels spiders, 5 or 8 stud?

630A had spiders,small Rockwell similar to Dodge 675 front.Could be fitted to 1600,lot wider track than original and spring mounting boltholes would be different.Why dont you restore the 630a,a lot rarer truck than a 1600,having the "mini" ACCO cab.,which looks a bit out of place on a bigger truck.Another "last ditch"effort by IH/A to use up parts made for models that failed to sell.Like the appalling 510 4x4,where the front wheels simply broke off.

What was the front wheel problem with the 510?

Did you buy the blue one near Maitland? If so, hang on to the diff centre. It'll be worth $1000 to an Acco 610a owner!

I did FarmerShaun. Being delivered today. Purchased sight unseen so will find out whether I have bought a dud or a gem. Good to know on the diff centre. Will be keeping my 2-speed so will be good to get back some money to offset the purchase and delivery.

Truck getting delivered to farm. John, there is no house at the farm but I am pretty sure if i told my wife i was going to take on another project and restore it she would be quite happy for me to use the new truck as my house.........

Truck arrived. Perkins serial number starts with TW that indicates a 6.3544 if I am correct. Now have to have a good look at it all but a good start
