Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

My father-in-law, Arthur Deas, ran a single truck business out of Manifold St, Camperdown. He did general cartage and ended up carting Tallow from the local abattoirs to Melbourne until the abattoirs closed down when he went bus driving. Neither he nor his wife would ever say what sort of truck it was and there were no photos of it in the family. As they both passed away about 15 years ago the information is probably lost as his son and my wife were too young to remember. If anyone has any information it would be nice to find out.

Some of his earlier prime movers were bought from Cains Portland.
Later he picked others up at the auctions.
The blue and yellow SAR had a Formula 290, his driver's favorite.
Thanks for your interest. Paul.
