Hi,
The photo below is a truck my father owned in Melbourne, around 1946-47. I'm curious to learn what it was (and perhaps any general information such as where it would have been built, the likely spec and the possible dealer in Melbourne).
Many thanks in advance,

As werkhorse said a Chrysler corp product.. The main reason for the different names was import tariff procedures. Being a Yank hurts my AU history.. Did Chrysler Corp have an assembly plant in AU during this period???

Hi,

my guess and a bit of a Google search comes up with a very similar looking 1942 Desoto.

In the 1950's a lot of the trucks were called "Canadian Dodges", probably to get a Tarif advantage.

I am sort of going by the name in the grille is written vertically, later ones were written horizontally, maybe it is earlier again.
