The amount of people that claim to have owned or driven a W model Ford 9000 in Australia they must of been the most popular truck ever

I have never seen one in the flesh, I must not be hanging with all the cool kids

I think they only tried to seel them for a year or so

Paul!
Gota bit of a laugh from your comment about the amount of people that claim to have intimate knowledge of W series Fords, I too have only ever seen one and that was on here.

Puts me in mind of the Nickle mine I worked in before I retired, north of Kalgoorlie, every second bloke there looking for a seat on a dozer claimed to have had hundreds of hours on a Cat D11.
Strange, most seemed to be ex-pat Kiwis.

Seeing that only about half a dozen ever made it there at the time, 2007, they must have been stacked on each others knees at least ten deep!

I took this photo in 1971. The Ford came from Cooma and was owned by Cec Venerables.

Isn't that a W1000 with the big wide F O R D letters. As opposed to a WT9000 like the "Blue Mule" from White Line Fever.
