" I did start to tell a more detailed story about it many years ago on here but some members questioned my honesty so I decided not to go any further with information

As I have mentioned in recent times the forum has changed a lot over the years and mainly for the better, it was a place with robust discussion back at the start, and thats putting it politely".

And fair enough too, you go to the trouble of assembling facts, fotos, files, all the nuts and bolts and belt it into an article that would interest many others, and then some doubters question your integrity, i'd tell em to go jump too!
I for one am glad you kept records and willingly represented them.
Thanks, Mrs.

I have the remains of the original HB 600
It is almost complete, it is missing pretty much all the rocker gear
Some one has at some stage long before I owned it pulled the heads to rebuild it at a guess
The bores must of fat full for a long time and are completely stuffed

It came with new injectors and and VRS gascket set

To much was missing and parts are pretty much made of unobtainium

I kept all of the parts and kept it stored out of the weather

I have at times found a HB Cummins motors but people reckoned they were the same as a Big Cam and stuff like that and wanted crazy money

Of more recent times I have discovered a Facebook that is just on these older style Cummins motors

So maybe one day ........ . .

That is a proper classic Pauly...a true bit of history indeed. I'm always amazed at the huge effort you put in to things. Credit to you I reckon.
Yeah you gotta have a bit of a thick skin sometimes, but for some reason it's easier for some people to be critical than be constructive eh? No matter, just got to take the positive an leave the negative, perhaps.
On balance it usually works out OK in the end I reckon? Keep up the good stuff mate!
Cheers
Rich

............I bet you were a real proud trucker in that one Mrs..............
Mrs...
Looking back at my post.........i hope that wasnt taken as a smart arse comment ...........
Nothing could be further from the truth........... I admire blokes like you that can accomplish the things you do...........
That old Federal is a real gem ,and with the 671 up front , i would rather operate that , more than
a late model bling machine ...................especially ,loaded on a nice mountain road...............
Dont ever get rid of it......... better still......take it for a gallop around the paddock every sunday morning
just to keep the dream alive.....................keep up the good work...........

...................Billy...............

I CAME INTO THIS WORLD WITH NOTHING & STILL HAVE MOST OF IT.........................

I used to be a truck driver,
but i am now not a truck driver ,
on a good day i can remember
that i used to be a truck driver.

No offense taken at all Billy

I have plans to wheel her into the shed and start again.

But part of me tells me we I should put it back to the way it was as Baldocks type of jigger

Another part of me says , " go on Pauly G, grow a set and go all the way"

Have been quietly keeping a eye out for a 6-110 screamer

Waiting for Overlander to share the good oil on the 6-110s his GM thread

Slowly slowly collecting stuff for this next build if I live long enough lol

Now that'd be a project!
A 6-110 screamer repower!
Could always steal an engine out of a railcar, be enough of them kicking around!
