I don't know if anyone can help me, but my Dad brought the 1000th Kenworth made in Australia in 1974. I would like to find out if it is still around. Does anyone have any ideas how I could do this?
Thanks

Welcome Little Cab. I'm sure you'll have a ball on the forum. I left the trucking game nearly 20 years ago, but since I've been on the forum I've become obsessed with trucks again.
Will we see the 1000th KW restored one day?

Thanks for the welcome Big Fella, I've never been a truckie but my dad was for most of his life and my brother has for all of his life. He's a subbie for Tolls in FootscrayRd.I was a mechanic for 30 years, mainly cars but plenty of trucks, also helping my dad doing clutches brakes and general maintenance on his fleet. His biggest fleet was 6 trucks at one time all for Mayne Nickless and their later companies like METS & Intermodal. And Igot to do plenty of Tarcutta and Nhill changeovers in the '70's and other interstae trips with both them.Mainly hauling Glass for ACI on the 'Gooseneck' trailers. Probably more fun than work. Then they got mainly into local work from the '80's onwards. I hope they restore the 1000th as well. We need to keep these old girls humming. LC
