That's a DOE (driver over engine) ;D ;D well it's not a cab over......... it hasn't got one. ::)
Ol' mate looks pretty happy sitting up there and looks like it's got 4WD on the tank behind him.

Hi ,there was a truck known as a FWD theres one in rural WA and they may be others it may be that make.

Detective,I don't think it is right hand steering.If you look closely at the perspective,I would say the steering wheel is in the centre of the "cab?"
The pic was taken in 1922 at Clintonville,Wisconsin.

The gear shift lever is on the RHS, so must be a very narrow seat. A lot of US trucks were RHD up to the 1930s so this is not unusual.

right hand steering was common in America at the start of the motoring era. This one is of WW1 vintage. Similarly Italian heavy trucks were rhd well into the 60's
