Bed, is at home, we jockeys never had time to go to bed when in our rockets, & if comfort was required, ya climbed up on top of the load & used the tarp as a hammock.
If ya had time to have a little snooze before unloading, eg, around Orange or somewhere on a frosty morning, ya might grab the blanket & drop across the seat

Don't! suppose you have the mattress out of the Dodge that you mighta had ;

Got a flyer for Rocklea at the Stude club meeting last night.
(Had to drive the Inter, O/D wouldn't work in the Stude....)

Not sure which day I am going yet. Might have to drop and pick up the sprog to work (KFC) on the Saturday. Would at least give me time to wash the Inter......
Does anyone know if either day is particularly "the big day"?
It was the Sat when they had the Macks at Gatton. (and I missed it)

Saturday around lunch or after. Gives every one a chance to get there.
Sunday, anyone who has to travel usually gets cracking early.
Saturday is always the better day.

5 minutes later......Yep, I'm dropping her off, wife's picking up. I should be there about 11am Sat.

We've got half a dozen trucks down there so you can see them from Ipswich road.

If anyone is coming with a trailer, the entrance to the grounds is in Goburra st, if you come off the service road you can't get in the gate unless you have a fairly short trailer. We had a bit of a look today, and if you go up Elmes rd (the servo is on the corner), round the block and then back down Goburra street you'll have a better chance of getting through the gate.
The club has teed up a mobile loading ramp, but if you have a combination that won't get through the gate we had a chat to a mob today just on the service road about using their ramp and they are cool.

The weather has been excellent, and the grounds are dry.
Looking forward too it.

Friday arvo and they have probably more trucks there than they did at Beenleigh.
Everyone is happy, a couple of the blokes from Toowoomba couldn't get down due to work, and these blokes normally bring a few trailers of gear, and we are still ahead.
With a trailer you can only get through the gate on Goburra st from the Rocklea end (not the Ipswich rd end).
Already it is starting to fill up pretty well, heaps of room down there though.
