We go MARCHING at 9:00AM on Anzac Day, Swish .. ::) .. and YOU should be out there, cheering the old soldiers on. There's a lot of Vietnam Vets in wheelchairs now, and the ranks of WW2 Vets are getting horribly thin .. :(

I go .. 'cos I've got a nice chest full of medals, that they gave me for keeping Noggies at bay, and for ducking a few live rounds, and for dodging a lot of nasty IED's .. :) .. and besides, it does ya heart good to see the numbers of people who keep up the Anzac support .. particularly the younger generation.
We don't march to glorify war, we march to remember the sacrifices made by a lot of good blokes .. so that we can have the freedom to hold truck shows, and do what we like, when we want to.

At least, spare a thought for the poor buggers in Afghanistan doing the hard yards to keep the ragheads numbers down. God help us, if the ragheads ever get a say in the running of our country .. the old soldiers will be spinning in their graves .. :(

Mr Beamish , just a question , would you have a picture of a Kenworth S2 Shell tanker?
When I was a lad of about 12, a good family friend by the name of Henry Lucas , stopped by when we were on holidays on the Gold Coast QLD in his Kenworth to say G'day.
I must say this must have been a turning point as to my interest in trucks, when "Uncle Henry" moved off from where we were staying on the coast , that 8v71 screemer made a huge impression a young lad!
Having told of my love of Screemers .. Uncle Henry had a compo payout of a 17 percent hearing loss in his right ear from my beloved Detroits ! as they had the exhaust exiting under the front bumper on the RHS

Thanks for the close try Swishy, I just wanted to show my son what got me interested in trucks.
Uncle Henry also used to tell me about the flame coming from the stack under the bumper at night , even Dave Dudley sings about it in the immortal "Six Days on the Road " but even after looking at many trucks at night , I have never seen it , even when they have been haulin' hard up a hill, is there any time when it usually happens?

I had a beddie doing it for a while, moved the dizzy half a turn and it got better, I have heard of the Comer Knockers that werent fair dinkum unless there was a twelve inch flame, encouraged by adding petrol to the diesel.????
