Hi,

Just back from the above event. A very enjoyable weekend and magnificent 1st effort from the American Truck Historical Society. It was their first show outside the USA. Here are some photos from the event.

Ok Deadly here's an S-Model Kenworth that was only got running on Thursday Night. It is owned by JC Diesel and is powered by an 8V71 GM.

His plan is to put a ute body on the back and use it on a shop truck. It really flies.

and I didn't take one of the hcvc trailer as there are several of them (photos, not trailers) around.
(I am not going to remark that every time I saw it you were there and the trailer was in a shadow as that would be rude! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;))

:)Hey Bruce great photo's and to all the HCVC members who supported the ATHS American Iron show. The show went well and had a good lay back feeling. The feeling may have been mine after working most nights and till 2.30 am Saturday morning getting the Diamond ready and loaded. The weekend went wellwith a great time had by all. The HCVC picked up 2 new members and made good sales thanks to Dave and Ken working the trailer. Thanks Guys. ;D

Hi bparo,

The Ford F8000 looks absolutely smick. What drivetrain does it have?

Thanks in advance,
Joe

Sorry Huppypuppy but the sign on the front was about the sale of another one he had restored previously.
I remember seeing Detroit on a pair of rocker covers on one Ford of that vintage or similar at the display but now could not be sure if it was that one of another one. I only remember it because it seemed unusual.

Great pics! That yellow Mack with the integral sleeper cab is an ex-WA (as of last year!) truck. Up until its sale, it pulled a Terex dozer used for dam sinking. The owner had to sell her as she wasn't modern enough to be doing the work she was doing. Never mind that every other truck in the business gets bogged while the Mack just idles through...
