Hi,
The filesize of the Avatar is set to a max. of 100kb which is plenty for a little image, however people who got their avatars up early were able to load up 250kb.
There is no width/height restrictions as the system will try its best to fit the image in the area available which may change depending on the particular device you are using. If you have an image with an extreme width or height you might find it will look a bit deformed in some cases so closer to a square or 4:3 the better.
No restrictions on animated .GIFs I can see.
Signatures also have no restrictions built into the software so we would be relying on people to be considerate and not take up too much space or other members might start hitting you with a big stick if your siggy is annoying.
During testing I did a a bit of customisation working with one of Sarge's images in his signature to automatically resize images and create a max. height but I haven't recreated that yet in the live version, so just on the to do list.

Hi all,
Like the new look, change is good. Particularly when it's for the better.
I must of blown a fuse somewhere, can't locate the specifics.
Can someone tune me up re posting an avatar??

Come on Tim, get that grey matter working and get your profile up here. And then your avatar up here, the white KW cab over will do . Easy enough , hit profile, then edit, do what ever there and profile imformation and then hit avatar and follow instructions
Colin
PS dead easy as I could do it.
