Been on a road trip to the Isa, bloody hell there's some big gear on the roads up that way.
Got into town at 10pm so had to head back out and park off road. There's Western Stars pulling 4-trailers of concentrate, non stop day/night. They must gross well over 150t??
Think they must be C15 Cat powered as you can hear those turbos above the engine noise and I tell you that's impressive, thumps right through you. It's a real pull out of the Isa and they just get on with the job. Light bars on front like the sun's coming up.
Swishy will be happy, didn't see any Euro stuff at all, only Mack, KW and WS all pulling triples.
Was overtaken by a triple cattle KW last night, the newer look bonneted job and she was whisper quiet. Man they've got some boogie,.I'm limping along at 75-80 way out in the guide posts (overheated and cracked the head) and they overtake so effortlessly.
The drivers are good steerers too.
