Mount Narryer was created by wouldyou
I was discussing this with my Cousin Malcolm recently as the station has changed ownership, Grandfather was a stone mason, with his team they constructed the shearing shed, Robert Jnr being Malcolm's Dad, wonder how long it would take to build in 2021?
Photos taken late 1990's Mount Narryer is in the Murchison region, only cattle now.

The question to ask is how long would a modern shed stand for. Probably not 100 years. Looks like a new roof. Should be right for 100 more years. Is it still in use as a shearing shed and where is it?. How's the buttress walls. A real credit to the
tradesmen of the good old days.
Great story and thanks for sharing. Dave.

Very interesting David.. Built in the days when Labour was Cheaper (& more Plentiful) than buying Material..
I've just spent an Hour or so checking It Out..

Was your grandfather involved in the stonework at the House??

Hello Interaction and Hayseed,
Those are photos I have never seen, it shows the original skylight on the shed. The facade of the house is dressed stone likely from the same quarry, it is rather soft and some fretting is showing, Grandfather did not get that job.
Mt Narryer is half way between Mullewa 100 k's East of Geraldton and Gascoyne Junction East of Carnarvon, the wild dogs have beaten carrying sheep, in dry years even feral goat numbers diminish.
A transport photo captioned returning to Pindar, looks like unused timber. Maybe some of the same donkeys in Hayseed's pic!
David.

David, according to This Link. Fretting is the reason for the Bricks along the Bottom of the Building..
