G'day from the new guy

Hi all,

Just thought I'd say hello

The names George and I've been interested in vintage trucks for a while but yet to own one,

I've been in the earth moving game and road transport game for the last 20 years as a diesel mechanic traveling around Australia working and have spent a lot of time working on old cars and houses too

I currently have a long term project which is a 1975 Mercedes bus motorhome which I've been on and off for 10 years, I'm sure I'll have it finished soon although I've been saying that for the last 5 years

So my next goal or project is going to be a 50's or 60's f500 or f600 custom tilt slide bed conversion that will be used to transport stuff for a custom car business I'm setting up

G'day George - Welcome to the forum. You don't say where you're located, or how far you want to go for a F500 or F600. I guess you're on the Right Coast?
There's a nicely restored late 60's F500 for sale near me, just out of Perth. The seller wants $6300 for it.
