Ford F-100. Body by Superior in Brisbane. This NSW Ambulance Service unit was the official ambulance that followed the 1989 Variety Club Bash charity car rally. NSWAS supplied the car and two volunteer officers drove it, following the rally from Sydney to the official start in Bourke, then on to Broome WA.

I have recently heard that the Temora Rural Museum is in the process of establishing the NSW Ambulance Museum. The NSW Ambulance Service are sending all of the historic vehicles and other memorabilia there for display. The museum is in the process of arranging funding to build a shed large enoug to house all of the vehicles and equipment.

1964 Studebaker Cruiser ambulance. Operated by the East Gippsland District of the Ambulance Service Victoria. Fitted with ambulance bodywork by Schubert & Staff of East Sale Victoria. This car is unrestored, having been preserved in it's original livery when due for disposal by the former Studebaker dealer who sold it new. It is privately owned by a Studebaker enthusiast.

Some great photos there Tatra. It would appear that most of the Israeli ambulances are donations from families and communities in memory of loved ones. Perhaps the one that mentions Victoria Australia on the door is a donated vehicle funded by a community in Victoria

I chased up the Victorian link to one of the Israel ambulances.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magen_David_Adom
Magen David Adom (Hebrew: [ch1502][ch1490][ch1503] [ch1491][ch1493][ch1491] [ch1488][ch1491][ch1493][ch1501][ch8206], abbr. MDA or Mada) is Israel's national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank service. The name means "Red Star of David" (literally: "Red Shield of David")...
www.magendavidadom.org.au
...MAGEN DAVID ADOM AUSTRALIA through fundraising activities and awareness programs, supports the life-saving services provided by MAGEN DAVID ADOM ISRAEL...Thanks to the support of our donors, MDA Australia proudly sponsors MDA Emergency Stations at Krayot, Yokneam and Ramat Gan...
On a quick check, the Ford is not an F2 (a 1952 model with a different grille): the ambulance is an older model, and looks very much like the 'Jailbar' of the 1940s. I can't find a model number for a Jailbar, and the name itself is a nickname used mainly/only in Australia.
