I have always wanted to build a multi wheel dolly, then after seeing this photo, & when I saw the Carson low loader wheels, a plan started to take shape.
Looked up photos of a modern 2x8 dolly so I could get some ideas, on the rolling stock.

I ordered 5 sets of the Carson wheels, made the walker beams & the rocker boxes out of solid aluminium. Here showing the difference in height of STD Tamiya wheel & the Carson dolly wheel

Made a cardboard, then a plywood template to get some idea if everything would fit, to make sure wheels etc would all fit in, this will also give you some idea of the heights difference. These wheels are solid rubber so should be ideal for this job.
