Hi Joe,the A in CWA stands for Australia,as in the Australian model,or it used to be anyway.UD started using it when they introduced the CWA45 back in the early 80`s,before airbags.Denmac where I did my apprenticeship was the agent for them.The CWA45`s they used to put NTC 300 Cummins in them as well.Someone asked UD why they didn`t use the 903,and the reply was that the japs make a 300hp V8,and we didn`t want one of them here (as in the old CW50).In the models,the CKA was the single drive,and the CWA was the bogie.

Patricks ran UD's on the hume in the late 90's from memory with 14L S60's they seemed to go ok but dissapeared after a year or so ... never seen one again
