Extreme Russian Trucks

Here is a compilation of Russian trucks working. I have seen these guys in real life and the selection of serious off-road vehicles available to them is quite wide.

There is nothing made in the West (including special oil field trucks) that can touch the Russians for everyday off-road capability.

I started watching the video, but got scared.. there were no witches hats around bogged trucks, no high viz clothing, the trucks did not look like they would comply with AU safety standards, no SWL tags on the winches.. I could not watch it..

That might be part of the reason why vehicles like that are not seen in the west...

Has the old lets get the job done approach

I love the 6 wheeler sliding gracefully sideways down the long snow covered hill. It demonstrates how good the centre of gravity of these vehicles is despite being sat up on off-road suspension.

Those ungainly supersonic boxes show this each year in the Dakar and nine out of ten winners have a Russian badge on the front.
