When the gear lever disappears through the hole in the floor it's most likely not something you can fix with a couple of cable ties. ;) ;)

Went and had a look at the leftovers today................geez they say do a good job but.........hmmm...................the flywheel housingis in a million bits and the bellhousing is split in two, It squashed the thrust washer completely out of the crank, stuffed the front bearing in the box. The mechanic told me that the shaft split on an angle and that is what put the pressure on everything, i never got to see the shaft as the box wasn't in sight anywhere.

Been told it'll be going by friday next week.........I reckon the week after.

Ya can't beat quality Tony.

Well the story goes like this......I think..... TNT tassie bought it over here painted white and she got off the boat at Burnie and got as far as Ulverstone where she suffered a major melt down. Towed to a quarry where Doug spotted it and for the last 20 years ........well you know the rest. It's got Kwickasair paint all over the place and a lot of orange too so I'm not sure exactly who had it first. Bigcam said in a post some time back that he's seen the dash set up like our SAR in other TNT trucks, but it had definately been painted in Kwickasair colours.shes done almost everything a truck could do from grain tipping to log carting...even seen a B Double or two on behind it, altho only around the yard ;) ;)

Dougs luck wasn't ever as good as old Alan Goodalls though........seen him get a stuffed head out of the bin at Websters and run in on his old V8 for a good 12 months. :-?

When the stick went down i would have hung on for the ride . Yer the three roof lights tell me it's an old overnighter and it has the flap for checking the oils without tilting the bonnet .

I managed to get a few photos of the offending parts

the main culprit

whats left of the flywheel housing and bellhousing

And if I'm correct that pressure plate has been in there for a few years
