...g'day Lang .. a little off topic, but is that a spurious RAAF code (A68-769) on the Mustang ??....

.....i have it here as ''for target use'' 04/52....would love to know a bit of her history.....cheers

It is actually A68-110 but for some reason (I think one of the syndicate of owners father flew 769 in Japan) it was rebranded to replicate another aircraft.

...thanks for the info Lang .. that makes her a bit of a rarity, as she was one of 80 kits first supplied by North American (NA) at the outset of production (CA-17 designation)... assembled by CAC for their impending production of the fully Australian manufactured, license built machines (CA-18)....cheers

Just teasing I can't sell it it was a 3rd birthday present to my daughter I don't think she will let it go .I have to take it to her school soon as they are doing transport and she wants all her freinds to see it

David brown made aircraft tug tractors they are fairly common David browns in general that is

Mate has a little tug thingie ,he was talking about selling .I will check with him .

Thanks to a couple of forum members I picked up a Series 2 Landrover SWB for $200. She is pretty sad but has a Holden red motor.

3 spring hangars are broken off and held on with wire but an hour with some steel strap will get them welded up enough for the boys at the airfield to potter around in first gear low range pulling aircraft.

Obviously it is only a matter of time before she breaks in half so we are still on the hunt for a cheap old tractor.
