Inter TD9 wanted was created by Morris
Old mate wants a transmission for a TD9. It has the gearbox and final drive in the one housing (transaxle?)

Must be in useable or easily repairable nick.

Will take the remains or even a whole dozer if necessary.

What have you?

Morris.

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Hi Bluey,
If I find one, I will let you know.

Old White,
I am at Phillip Island, Vic. Old mate is at Dubbo NSW. Transport is not a problem (but craning it on might be)
I don't know if I know how to PM. I wil have a go now. If you do not get my message, please reply on this forum.

Morris.

Morris,
Rang Jim stoneman today to see what he has at the moment. The only trans housing he has at the moment is a 92 series late model td9. But has lots of gears and parts for older series. Says give him a call. I will try sending his ph no.

OldWhite,
Thanks mate, we need the housing as ours must have hit a very hard place, very hard. You know the story about being between a rock and a hard place? This one has been between a hard place and a harder place!
It must have been a "Company Car" (you will have heard that Company cars:- go faster, brake harder, never need tyres, oil or water checked, as compared with your own car)

Ours looks like it has busted the casting on a rock and then been driven until it seized due to lack of oil. Braze it up, fill it with oil and drive it until it splits again and seizes again through lack of oil. Keep doing that until:-a. The job finishes. b. it will not go again.

Thanks for Jim's contact details and the PM. I could not work out how to PM you. When I get a day that I am able to phone him at a respectable time, I will do so. I doubt he would appreciate being called too late at night.

Late model? we are looking for WW11, 1930's, 1940's

What does Mwl mean? when I speak to Jim, I need to tell him who sent me, or will he recognise the name Oldwhite?

Ianoz,
Many thanks for the reference to Jim.

Morris

Morris, late model is maybe 45-50. My td9 is like yours towards end of WWII petrol start deisel run. Lates had deisel only. And separate transmission box.

Mwl is my initials. Michael from pyalong will give you the intro with Jim.

"Old white" is when I joined the hcvc.
Have 3 old whites 57 wc22. 56 wc20 plt. 55 wc18.
All early stage projects.

The td9 is a worker on the farm. Rebuilt super wd9 engine d350 from USA surplus parts for it ,now about 180 hrs, goes great but you have to respect them. Always check oils and lubes for rear end and tracks, not like modern stuff with seal bearings and the like.
Will keep my ear to ground for rear end stuff
