Zuffen, the care factor would be very low about their thoughts.
Steve, yes retirement is so much fun I dont know how I coped before.
Lang, I have a lot going against me on that. I married a POM and most of the toys are POMMY made and I do ahve a wide selection of Whitworth spanners & sockets of all descriptions. Carry a lot of BSW nuts n bolts and when needed have to make my BSF ones. I still have some common metric stuff on hand both tools and nuts n bolts.

Funny, I gave all my Father's Whitworth spanners away as I would never have used them.

I also throw out every Imperial nut or bolt I find.

Strictly Metric in my shed.

I typed this message and as usual, just as I finished it all disappeared and the website closed down. Here is my second try:

I have separate toolboxes for Whitworth, AF and metric spanners. I also have my socket sets and Electrical toolbox. I have a vehicle-specific toolbox, along with spare radiator hoses and fanbelt in each vehicle, I find that many vehicles have non-standard thread types, and I try to replace them as I find them.
Please throw imperial spanners and bolts my way!

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

None at all, even Bongo got moved out of over spray range. Van is up the top driveway a long way away from this spray booth.

I thought the safest place to store the tank now as it continues to cure is on the tractor but not strapped down but the fuel lines connected. Then put some paper over the top and painted the caps again today. Hopefully the brightness is a little less than the other pics I posted.

Yes, that is Humpty Dumpty or Grumpy Dumpy in the background.

Put the tank back in place, connected the fuel lines to the tap, put 5 litres in the main tank that was leaking and so far all dry underneath, bolted the dashboard back in place and strapped the tank on so it goes no where in the wind we have had lately. Will get Dee to give me a hand to lift the scuttle plate back in position so we don't scratch the new paint then to attack the rocker cover leak.

I am reminded of a comment I read in an American hot rod magazine about sixty years ago . . .

"Don't gotta run sonny, just so long as it looks pretty."
